How does the diff algorithm work?

The tool uses a simple line-by-line comparison. It splits both texts by newline and marks lines as removed (only in original), added (only in modified), or unchanged (identical in both). This approach is fast and easy to read for most use cases.

Does it support word-level diffs?

Currently the tool compares at the line level. Each line is marked as added, removed, or unchanged. For word-level granularity within changed lines, a more advanced diff algorithm would be needed.

Is there a size limit?

There is no hard limit, but very large texts (over 10,000 lines) may slow down the browser since the diff is computed on the client side. For most documents it is instant.
