What are color harmonies?

Color harmonies are combinations of colors based on their positions on the color wheel. They create visually pleasing and balanced palettes for design projects.

What palettes does this tool generate?

Four types: Complementary (opposite on the color wheel), Analogous (adjacent colors), Triadic (three evenly spaced colors), and Split-complementary (base + two colors adjacent to its complement).

Can I use these palettes for web design?

Yes. Each color is shown as a hex code you can copy. You can also export the entire palette as CSS variables, Tailwind config, SCSS variables, or JSON with one click.

What does locking a color do?

Clicking a color in the generated palette locks it in place. When you click Generate again, locked colors stay the same while unlocked ones are regenerated. This lets you build a palette around colors you already like.
